Bob Coes sends us
this update showing the placement of the deck houses on the main deck on
September 17/08. Gary Allport, Operations Manager at Logistec West Side
Terminal, was kind enough to offer the services of their men and equipment.
Equipment operators Wayne Brown and Mike Cochrane lifted the deck houses into
position with one of Forterm's heavy duty forklifts. Special thanks to Logistec
for helping us out. The following photos describe the overall loading process.

deck houses in position. Stanchions will be installed on stbd side next. Due to
height restrictions in the lifting process the stanchions were left off so as
to allow for the space needed to carry out the lift. |

Deck houses will be scribed and fitted to the main deck. Their elevation will
be lowered by approximately one foot. |
